Class four has been reading "Twelve Angry Men" by Reginald Rose. We have been discussing the inner mechanisms and exploring the ethics involved in the American judicial system. What plays into decision making and what skills are used in making decisions. Without a unanimous vote from the jury no judgment can be passed on the defendant. In the beginning of the story juror number eight (no names were given for the characters just numbers) holds up the rest of the jury by voting "not guilty" in order to have the case examined more. The following discussion links and projects (including a rap) provide an insight into our research, understanding and interpretation of the play.
